LIFE IS A JOURNEY

"The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one's feet." --Lao Tzu
"We are seasoned travelers of the labryinth.  Losing our way and finding
our way.  Traveling on the beaten path and the road less traveled.
Eventually finding our way home to the place of spiritual rest and fulfillment.'

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

I AM GRATEFUL FOR EACH BREATH OF LIFE

"For each new morning with its lights, for rest and shelter of the night. For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends"-Ralph Waldo Emerson

TODAY: Focus on your breath. The quality of breathing may reflect our state of anxiety as well as levels of relaxation. Relax,let go and become more aware of the depth of your breath. Breathing connects us to the present moment. Appreciate this gift and be grateful for life.

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

                                          I AM PATIENT

Anil Sinha says "Patience is inner strengthOne who is master of patience is master of everything"
When we are impatient we become restless, irritable and easily annoyed,  We must remain self-aware and become the observer of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors.  Cultivate patience by daily practice to achieve inner peace and ultimately self-mastery.

TODAY:  Practice the art of being patient.  Do not rush, listen without interrupting, think before you react, pay attention to the beauty and wonder of nature which is embedded with lessons of patience.   Experience peace and the gift of transforming yourself and the quality of  your interaction with others. How did this practice make you feel?

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

I AM LOVE

Love is a powerful force and an essentail part of the human experience.  It is a universal language that supersedes differences.Leo Buscaglia says, "To live in love is life's greatest challenge".  Herbert Otto said, "Love is not selfish and exclusive, but selfless and inclusive."

TODAY: Treat yourself with love.  During the course of the day, give yourself this gift as you abide in self-love.  How do you treat yourself and how does it make you feel? A powerful excerpt from Buscaglia, "One cannot give what he does not possess -To give love you must possess love..." is most profound. As you engage in self- love let this love genuinely radiate to others.

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS: Reflection For Today

                                           I AM FREE

Learning to release the obsessive notions of the judgmental shoulds and oughts that imprison us with fear inspires curiosity and alignes us with the creative flow. I equate this with surrender. Daringly stepping into the unknown, synchronicities and impulses to take inspired action become apparent. Eckhart Tolle said, "It is only through surrender that you can align yourself with the return movement- the journey home". Once we are reunited with our true self, the journey is forward moving. Abiding there is the real challenge. It is there where you truly live and activate the real love that abides within. It is the sacred place where you know you are one with the divine. It is there where you feel whole and complete. Our travels through life lead us out and back home again. I call it the labyrinth soul journey of life. Changes and challenges are inevitable and essential for our personal growth and soul journey.

TODAY: Reflect on a change or challenge in your life. How has this challenge transformed your life in meaningful ways? How did overcoming this challenge ultimately bring freedom an joy?

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

                                               I AM FAITHFUL

When doubt began to set in on a desire deep in my heart, I asked for a sign.  My eyes focused on a car tag right in front of me that read "FAITH".   What an amazing and timely message!  Listen and be alert to  the signs, synchronicities and  inspirational messages,  Know that the universe undoubtly conspires in our favor.

TODAY: Reflect on an experience that highlights your test of faith and at the right itme, your prayer was answered or your desire manifested.

Focusing attention, time and energy on wrong throughts causes endless suffering. It takes movtivation and practice to be mindful and self-aware each moment. In daily practice, interject a prayer, mantra, or phrase to intervene and stop negative thoughts. Have faith and know that all is well and divine timing is in order.

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

I AM PATIENT

The ability to shape the course of one's life can only be exercised in the present, not the past or the future -K. Sri Dhamanananda

We generally hope for a successful career, opportunities to fulfill our passion, good family connections, positive relationships, and material possessions. We may become doubtful and frustrated when our personal timelines are not met. Reflect on the following questions to assess your perspective on patience.

Do you feel patience is important?

How patient are you?

Is it difficult to wait for something that you desire? How do you feel waiting for something?

How does focusing your attention make you nore patient?

How do you feel when you resist accepting something in which you have no control?

Do you find yourself reliving the past and thinking more about the future?

Can you learn from the past and move on?

Do you believe that things happen in their right time?

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

                      I AM FILLED WITH INFINITE POSSIBILITIES

Connecting with your inner voice helps you trust in yourself.  It is that gut feeling that gives you intuitive inspiration, wich is the inner knowing that guides you on your path. It speaks gently and points you in the right direction.

Have you ever followed your iinternal guidance system to take a particular action and later found it to be the right action?

Have you ever asked yurself a question, stopped to think about it, and found the answer was reavealed at a time you least expected?

Quiet the chatter in your mind though mediitation, mantras or nature walks and focus on the guidance within and counter negative thoughs with expressions of gratitude.

JOURNEY TO WHOLENESS-Reflection For Today

INSPIRATION FROM THE WEEPING WILLOW

The gentle whisper of the wind;

The glaring sun on each bent limb;

The blossoms fall like weeping tears,

Shedding sorrows through the years;

Rebirth, renewal, harvest and rest;

Life puts our souls to the test;

Weary from the trials of life;

Amazing grace endures the plight.

Our labor, toil, stress and strain;

Like the weeping willow, our strength sustains.
