GOOD TEMPER: An Ingredient in the Recipe of LOVE
How can we be more pleasant to be around? How can be live in harmony? How can we be more loving?
A Loving Spirit is like a sweet fragrance that lingers. We love to be around people who are loving and their essence is forever entrenched in our memory for years to come. Good Temper is an ingredient in the 'Recipe of Love'. When we are in Good Temper we are not easily provoked, quick tempered, easily ruffled or disagreeable. Good temper is not being a doormat or non-assertive, but standing up for ourselves in a gentle and loving way.
Think about a person that exudes Good Temper. What is admirable about him or her? How do they make you feel when you are around them? How has he or she made difference in the lives of others?
I think about Mahatma Gandhi who changed himself first, demonstrated strength through peace, pursued truth, and literally conquered his enemies with Love. I was inspired by his good temper even in the midst of the most challenging situations.
