"The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one's feet." --Lao Tzu
"We are seasoned travelers of the labryinth.  Losing our way and finding
our way.  Traveling on the beaten path and the road less traveled.
Eventually finding our way home to the place of spiritual rest and fulfillment.'

Allowing yourself to truly see the beauty of who you are and your gifts, is when you really start to experience all of he bliss that your life can be--Kuan Yin

Reflection For Today - The Long Journey Home

We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all of our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time- T. S. Eliot

Where is home? Is it a physical place? Is it a spiritual place? Home is where the heart is!Home is the place where we connect with our inner being that radiates self-love, self-compassion, and self-forgiveness and therefore mirrored in our external reality. This inner joy lies within. As we exhibit these virtues within we become more authentic in our relationships with others.

After feeling disconnected and disillusioned, by society's definition of success and happiness, I was gifted with an opportunity to find my way home through a gifted healing journey of self-renewal and self-discovery that led me far away from my physical home and ultimately back home to my true self. I always felt a strange pull toward the Orient perhaps attributed to a fruitful past life connection. There, I felt like a stranger at home. Upon returning, many said there was peace and a light in my face that I was oblivious to. I took steps to maintain that peace which was sometimes quite challenging.

Kuan Yin is the Goddess of compassion, mercy and kindness. Being an avid collector of Asian art, I acquired an admired statue of Kuan Yin. Upon gazing at this lovely symbolic image daily, it always reminded me of compassion. Unfortunately, while clearing items from my previous home, in preparation for a move, the statue was placed in a box that was accidentally given away. A couple of years later, while driving through a nearby city, I spotted an antique shop and dropped in for a visit. Upon entering the establishment, my eyes immediately focused on my long lost Kuan Yin statue. I was astounded. It was a miracle!

TODAY: Demonstrate kindness and compassionate to yourself and others. How did it change your feelings and outcome during the course of the day?
